Restaurants
Located right on Main Street - Mel's is open for lunch or dinner. It's reliably good and offers American fare: salads, burgers, fish/steak with a full bar. Indoor or outdoor dining. Walking distance from Baseball Hall of Fame, the shops on Main and the Farmers Market!
Origins Cafe
(Seasonal: Apr-Oct)
The unique greenhouse atmosphere is not the only thing that makes this place a favorite. The three-course menu is set - meaning you get no selection - but everything they put out is delicious, farm-to-table, healthy food. Vegetarian options. Delicious alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are served. Sometimes there is live music. And while you're there, it's fun to browse their greenhouse and gift shop. Perhaps the best time of year to visit could be the late summer or fall harvest.
The Blue Mingo
(Seasonal: Summer)
If your by boat or car - a must stop summer spot. Summery cocktails, delicious lobster dishes, fish tacos, and the wontons appetizer or fried pickles are among our favorites. Plus they do a great burger. Never had a bad meal here and the desserts are all made fresh in house! Floating up by boat for lunch or dinner makes this a true vacation experience.
Hawkeye
Located inside the Otesaga, they have a fine wines list and an awesome salted baked potato. They do offer indoor and and outdoor dining, with a full bar. This is where professional baseball players eat and stay when in town.
Firebar
(Seasonal, weather permitted)
Different from the Hawkeye but located in the same spot, the Firebar allows walk-ins only and is simply a few outdoor tables set around a massive firebar on the lakefront side of the Otesaga Hotel. It offers the same, but limited menu from Hawkeye, with a full bar and a sunset view over the water.
Upstate
The best burger and beer place in town. Newly renovated with a rustic, upstate feel. The full bar features a lot of the local Ommegang Brewery beers. And the menu has something for everyone: burgers, ribs, sandwiches, steak, apps and salads.
Ommegang

Ommegang Brewery is not open late for dinner, but is great for an appetizer-style lunch or early dinner. Try the pretzel or the poutine. They also have outdoor fire pits and host fun events like live music, large concerts and vintage-style baseball games. And of course, a full sampling of all their beers.
